Spades is the only one I could actually play anytime, no matter how I felt, or how laggy I am at that particular time.
It's also the best game for solo mode.
and synVille, it had a burst of obsessed playtime a while ago, and I really enjoyed it, it could do with more work true, but it's certainly a solid start for a good game

urm, mdk, thats not a bug it's just part of the game.
And I don't agree that it gives you more chance to win... who cares where the units coe out, it's your strategy that counts. I usually play as salmon because I like the colour, I couldn't care less which corner I'm in... (although it has to be the corner )

Empyrion: Never really liked strategy games synChess: My second favourite I never get bored of this game. synJet: I never figured out how to play synPool: Fun but nobody ever plays on it synSpace: I never really liked space games and I never really liked shooting games (especially with your keyboard and all. synSpades: My third favourite I love the scoring system. synVideo: I don't have a webcam, no fun for me! synVille: Fun but nobody ever moves into my towns (bah!) TurnAbout: This game is only semi finished so I really couldn't judge.
That leaves *drum roll* my favourite.. Domination! It's fun, it's challenging, it's got nukes, it's board gamish toy!

Noone comes to your towns? Just make food thingies , and why aren't you ever on arcadia? It would be way more fun.
Empyrion: One word... Great! synChess: Pretty nice game to play multiplayer and solo. synJet: Eww plane game, I dislike them . synPool: Nice 2, but to bad it isnt multiplayer. synSpace: This is an nice game, one of the first space games I like (but im not good at it . synSpades: Me and cards? No way!!. synVideo: Nice toy, but you can't do much in it.. synVille: Fun but could have more pictures TurnAbout: Mwa.. I think im not gonna like it, im more a fan of strategy games. Domination: Always fun to play .

I'd have to say synChess, because it is fun and complete: it has good AI, maany tables to allow up to 16 games at once, custom chess sets and boards, and all that good stuff. Plus it's chess, so you have to rely on your brain instead of your connection.
My second choice is synSpades, because it also is rather complete, with bots that are usually okay, changable rules (points to win, doubles play, etc.), plus it has that cool flaming effect! :-D
Empyrion might have gotten my vote, but I'm not too fond of it. I like the ability to make new empires (that's more than Starcraft can say) and maps, but I don't find it to be as playable as some other toys; selecting/moving the units is awkward, and you do not have any say into what unit your armies attack. Maybe I am just spoiled by Blizzard.

I just recently got Arcadia, but alas, i can't play it . Windows XP has its own decompresser program, and i don't want to install winzip just for Arcadia...

Finally someone else that remembers that Dune2 is the first RTS and not C&C . Though WC/SC are much closer to what Dune2 is like. Ahhh the good old days of building mass amounts of fremen and ornithopters with a good measure of sonic tanks thrown in.

well... Warcraft I deserves a nod... but still C&C is the first to get it completely right. perfect in every way, from installer to plot line. from tiny animated violence to "I've got a present for ya!"
