A list of things you should start with: Dev-c++ (google) A good tutorial site (start with cplusplus.com, then move on to cprogramming.com) Then, lots and lots of practice.

I've already been reading some of the stuff on cplusplus.com. Kinda got losts on the 1st parts of it though without a way to test things out a bit. Would Bloodshed C++ be a good choice for a compiler? -------------------- I'll be around here until the plug gets pulled. http://flashzz.webs.com/

bloodshed is dev-c++ Btw, its the compiler I started with, and still use often. I also use visual studio 6.0 as well. Visual studio 5.0 is free though, so you might look into getting that after a while. [ 01-08-2008, 08:17 AM: Message edited by: MasaMune ]

I've tried running the Introductory "Hello World" app that came with bloodshed but it closes the window imediatly, so I can't even tell if it says "Hello World". I might be new at this but its not supposed to do that right? -------------------- I'll be around here until the plug gets pulled. http://flashzz.webs.com/
