After talking about it on the forum and giving everybody a chance to have their say I decided to make 1 (last) sticky thread in our forum.
In this thread you can post links to programs, tutorials, art, sfx, midi, skins etc.
Goal of this thread is to make it easier for world developers to find the resources they need for creating their world. Don't be afraid to post if you're not a world developer, all help is greatly appreciated.
People can also ask for links about certain programs, but once the answer is posted I'll delete the questions to keep the topic clean. Off topic posts and posts that don't have any links in them will also be deleted.
To get this thing started: - http://www.overridesecurity.com/worlddeveloper (This site has a lot of resources already and a summary with useful links.) - WoS skinner forum (If you need specific skins done you could try posting here) - www.mikeanike.com (This site has a skin set with 666 monster skins and several resources for skinning.)
Well I guess the first links are pretty obvious ones, but I had to post something to get it started.
I'm relying on all of you to make this thread a succes.
The MIDI Database- Features midi music from popular (by popular, I mean, the crap that's always overplayed on the radio) artists. Features rap, metal, and older music. I think it goes from about the '70s to today, but I could be mistaken. I prefer vgmusic.com much better, but if you're looking for music from KoRn or something, you could find it here.
Sprites Inc.- This place has Megaman sprites. A lot of them. There's many enemy sprites here too, so it's a good place to make enemy skins from.
Sky Tower Games- This is an RM2K/2K3 site. It has many resources such as chipsets and such. A great resource for those that use RM2K to make maps with.
The Video Game Atlas- Contains maps of all kinds of different games. Pippin Took showed me this one, I believe.
Video Game Sprites- Another sprite site. I've not really explored this one as much as I should, so I don't know if it's that great or not.
Well, that's about all I have that's not covered in Tweek's site.

silver said i could "Feel free to copy whatever you want to there and stop whining." so here, a nice, LONG post that was an entire topic ^_^
[Your post isn't so LONG anymore now, I'd like people being able to actually read through this topic so I deleted that post and replaced it with the link to that topic. It would have helped out a lot more if you just posted the relevant info and links and put a link to the original topic. (Tried editing it myself but it was way to time consuming.) - Silver]

Pokemon Forever - Not really a site for WoS, but it has gb game sprites which can be used to make skins.

this is a great site for finding pictures for scenes: http://www.1stopstock.com/ Just type in what you want at the top of the page and when you've found the picture you want, right click and click; save picture as
There are more sites out there that can be found with www.google.com but I'm hoping that other world developers will also post some sites here that they found in the past.

megspace.com doesn't work: I don't have perrmission even though I'm an admin account on this computer, and I get an error 403, anyone know which that is?
[It works for me, maybe it's just your pc? - Silver]

[EDIT] One thing about hosting files on your personal computer pip, your IP changes. This link no longer works. If you contact pippen you could probably snag a new IP if he still offers this. ~Masa [/EDIT]

Hesa, you do have FTP access to override security, in fact you have root access to the /worlddeveloper folder, why aren't you doing anything with it? lol

That would take an active admin to do it. Dan should set either flamelord or me as mod

I ignore people who i don't know. Especially if all you say is
"So you a pro world developer?"
Say something more like
-link-
Such and such needs to be done to update the forums/post/whatever
or such and such should be stickied for x reason
and then I'll take care of it.
If i don't know you, don't just do random conversation, because I'm pretty busy, just tell me what needs to be done and move on.

Sorry, but I *Highly* doubt you made it through all of the material on cplusplus.com and cprogramming.com and have a good solid concept of the language in just two weeks. It takes a long time to get efficient at programming languages, and two weeks just isn't enough.

well can i hit u up when I dontonly know basic stuff like making cmd prompts with fancy equations and text in it?

I don't think you know the first thing about programming.

yeah your right. The only thing I know how to do as mentioned earlier is make a cmd prompt with a couple of equations and crap. I am a novice. So yeah technically I don't know the first thing about programming as you so kindly put it.
if my memory reminds me correctly I can put a console operations command (cout) with double > and put text equations and stuff inside and end it with a endl;. I forgot about functions and strings and stuff because i have been very busy with school. I need to wait till over the summer to really sit down and recap myself.

Speaking of all this C++ stuff, I was wondering exactly what I need in order to make programs, and if I can get these things free or have to pay for them? I am wanting to start down the road of programming games and I'm quite serious about it, but alas the job I'm stuck with pays little and theres no way I can pay for schooling on the subject.
